Photos of Las Vegas ~ McCloud Photography

While in Las Vegas for our WPPI (Wedding & Portrait Photographers International) Convention, we broke away for a bit and walked the strip. Here are some photos that we took on our journey. Also, as you will see below, our pilot gave us an incredible view of the strip as we were heading back to PDX. It was so exciting to get a chance to take this shoot. It always seems like we are either on the wrong side of the plane or stuck with the dirtiest window, but this time was just perfect!

Our upgraded room in Las Vegas for WPPI ~ McCloud Photography

We were so excited when we ended up with an upgraded room! It wasn't until we opened the door to our suite that we realized just how nice it really was. The suite had a full kitchen, two full bathrooms, three flat screen TVs, jetted tub and a balcony with great a view. It was a perfect place to rest in between class and events at WPPI. Of course, we had to take a few photos.

Headed to Las Vegas ~ McCloud Photography

We are going to WPPI's photography convention in Las Vegas. WPPI is the Wedding & Portrait Photographers International, an organization that we are members of. They hold the largest covention for photographers in the United States. It is through organizations like this and attending these conventions, that we learn and grow as photographers. We are so excited to be attending this event this year. We will be posting more of are travels soon but for now we are in the airport preparing to board our plane.

Bridal Portraits at Cathedral Ridge Winery ~ Hood River, Oregon ~ McCloud Photography

Last year, I took Jamie's bridal photos at the beautiful Cathedral Ridge Winery. Being that these were bridal photos, we couldn't share them until after the wedding. Bridal photos are not as common in Oregon, but in other parts of the United States, they are as common as engagement photos. The tradition is normally to display a large framed image or images of the bride at the reception. Bridal photos have so many benefits. As a photographer and a past bride, I can say I wish this was a tradition that would gain popularity here in Oregon. By taking beautiful photos of the bride before the wedding day, you have plently of time to capture amazing images of the bride and her dress. Images that would not otherwise be possible on the wedding day. It also saves so much time on the day of your wedding. As a bride, every extra task that day can lead to more stress. In my case, I was so excited on our wedding day that I could hardly stay still long enough to get my photos done. I am sure I was not an easy subject for my dear friend and photographer to capture. I also would of welcomed the chance to test out my make-up and hair before the wedding!

If your interested in knowing more about bridal photos, we would be happy to get you some information. We have a package designed just for bridal sessions. Contact us at (503)851-2998 and we can talk about the details of your bridal session.
