Ryan & Susan's Wedding at Reser Stadium, Oregon State University ~ McCloud Photography

For Ryan and Susan's reception we moved over to Reser's Stadium where we met them and their limo down on the field. After some fun shots around the stadium, we headed into their reception. The reception was held in the Founders Louge over looking the field and what a great reception it was.

Ryan and Susan congratulations! We are so glad you let us photograph your wedding. We truly had a blast with you, your family, and friends.

Ryan & Susan's Wedding in Corvallis ~ McCloud Photography

What an amazing wedding and a great day with Ryan and Susan. Their wedding was held at The Church of the Good Samaritan in Corvallis. The church had a beautiful santuary with a great balcony for taking photos. The best part is, this is just the first half. We had so many photos, we just had to break them up into two postings. Reception photos to follow from Reser Stadium at Oregon State University.

Newport Oregon Family Photos ~ McCloud Photography

The Oregon Coast makes for the perfect background for family photos. If you add in a wonderful family like this, it makes for an amazing session. They were a wonderful family and the kids couldn't of been any better. I just had to share a few more from their session!

The Loss of One of Our Best Friends

Last week we lost our family dog Scruffy. Actually, we lost a family member. He was 17 years old and had been with my family for over 16 years. What a life he lived. When I was still a kid, we rescued him from the pound. I remember as we walked by his cage, he place his chin on the bar and would roll his eyes following us from place to place. His pleading eyes won my mom and I over and home with us he came. Dad had little say but he would shortly become my Dad’s best bud.

To put into words what an amazing dog and how much he meant to us just isn’t possible. He had the kindest heart and a love for everyone. He really never seemed to have any bad behaviors. He rarely made a peep, in fact it was a long time before we knew he could even bark! He absolutely loved human food. Pasta was his declared favorite and in his latter years he mastered batting his eyes at my parents until they would prepare him a bowl of Mac and Cheese.
He also had such a love for children and people that he would often go visiting in the neighborhood. Everyone that met him couldn’t help but love him. Often we would find him playing with their kids in the backyard or even getting an invite inside. I still remember the day that we found him in a maintenance worker’s truck eating lunch with them!

Of course, for us Scruffy, was a part of all of our big moments as well as the small ones. When Justin and I were married, he had to be a part of our day. In fact, he proudly walked me down the isle along with my Dad. One of my favorite photos of our wedding day is what was to be a posed photo of Scruffy and I but instead he snuck in a big kiss. There are just so many memories of Scruffy. It’s hard to imagine life without him but as it sinks in for all of us, we now look back on the memories and our favorite photos of our days with Scruffy. As a family, we are forever thankful for all our days with Scruffy and the life we had with one of our greatest friends.

More of Bruce & Michelle's Wedding

We had a wonderful day photographing Bruce and Michelle's eventful July 4th wedding. We started the day at The Retreat Day Spa & Salon in Corvallis where the wonderful staff did a great job on hair and make-up of the bridal party. We then headed to Green Villa Barn in Independence for a lovely country themed wedding. Justin and I ended the night with Bruce and Michelle at the fireworks show at the Independence Amphitheatre where we enjoyed the fireworks with them and a fun night session afterwards. What a great day!

During their wedding day, they had Matt's Entertainment to keep the day going and he did a fantastic job. Then to top it all off, they had Chafin Farm Carriages provide carriage ride to their guests.

It was the perfect way to spend the 4th of July!

Bruce and Michelle, thank you for letting us be a part of your day!
