Welcome to Our Blog.

The Blog is a place we like to share some of our recent photo sessions, talk about the amazing people we get to work with, and let you in on a little bit of our crazy lives. We are a wife and husband team, who love our job and love working together. That's a photo of us on the right we took during a snow storm in Central Park. Leave it to us to visit New York during one of the worst snow storms in 60 years! Of course it did make for a great photo. We hope you stick around to enjoy some of our work and get to know us. We promise to share some of our crazy adventures. If you feel like it be sure to show us some love by leaving us Blog comments, they always make us feel good. My Dream

Justin and I recently celebrated our anniversary. We took a wonderful trip to Las Vegas and had a great time. It was the perfect time to celebrate us and how special the past three years have been. I can’t seem to find many photos of both of us but I just love the below photo of Justin on a trip last year.

I wanted to publicly thank Justin for the amazing man that he is so if you get gaggy over sappy stuff heres my warning, you may want to stop reading :-)

When I was just a little girl I had my idea of a perfect marriage. My perfect husband would be my best friend and we would have nightly slumber parties but never get tired of each other and fight! We would eat ice cream for breakfast just because. We would play chase at the park. He would love all my animals just as much as I did. We would decide on a whim to go on a walk, drive to the beach, or have a pillow fight. He would laugh with me until we both had tears running down our cheeks. He would find me silly and cute. He would help me climb up the apple tree or tackle any other tasks people laughed at me for. He would handle anything I deemed too gross for me and even chase down funny noises at night! He would surely be strong because I knew he would pick me up when I fell and carry me all the way home. And most of all I knew he would be my bestest bestest friend in the whole wide world! Now that would be my perfect husband.

Then I grew up (I secretly still had the same dream) and realized such a man would be hard to find. Until I met Justin! How could I be so lucky to find the man I hoped for and wished for since I was a little girl? How could I find someone to laugh with, and play with for the rest of my life? I have been so blessed.

Thank you Justin for being the best friend I dreamed of and the perfect husband. I am so glad I get to laugh and dance my way through life with you.

I love you.

Zach and Sally's Wedding at Beckenridge Vineyard in Dallas, Oregon ~ McCloud Photography

Zach and Sally had a wonderful Friday wedding that we were honored to photograph. This was the first time we have had the chance to shoot a wedding at BeckenRidge Vineyard and it was a perfect venue for weddings. Everyone was so organized and calm that the day went by so smooth. We were even left with a rare opportunity to spend some extra time shooting Zach and Sally’s formals. One of my favorite moments of the day occurred during the Father/Daughter dance when Sally and her twin sister, Wendy, shared a special moment by dancing together with their father.

Zach and Sally were another wonderful couple that came to us through Adam and Anna. Adam and Anna were married in July of 2006. So, of course we had to capture a photo of the two of them on the dance floor. It has been great to see them this year at two weddings! Thank you guys for the referrals!

Congratulations Zach and Sally! We wish you many more happy treasure hunts.

Brian and Jennifer’s Wedding at Historic Deepwood Estates, Salem Oregon ~ McCloud Photography

Brian and Jennifer chose to have their wedding at the beautiful gardens of Deep Wood Estates. It is a perfect location for a garden wedding and provides so many options for photos. We also took advantage of the rose garden at Bush Park for some photos of just Brian and Jennifer. It was a hot day and we were thankful for the shade from all of the trees which is always a plus for photography.
It seems this year has been a year of amazing wedding dresses, all unique to each bride but equally beautiful. Jennifer’s dress definitely was one of those amazing dresses. Her dress fit her perfectly and the lace was so elegant. Brian added to the day by finishing the final touchs on his bike in time for the wedding. The finished motorcycle made a great getaway as Brian and Jennifer rode off into the night.
Brian and Jennifer....thank you for letting us be a part of your wedding day. We hope you had a wonderful honeymoon to Universal Studios and Sea World. The rest of your photos will be on-line soon!

A Quick Peek at Tyler & Shari’s Wedding

Life has been pretty crazy lately, as always is in the summer. So, we of course have lots of blogging to catch up on! I just had to share a few quick images from Tyler and Shari’s wedding in Springfield, OR. I will share more from their wedding later but I was so excited about the images, I just had to share these. The photo of the groomsmen is one of Justin’s and I am just so proud of him for this! This image just really captures the personality of the guys. I gave the photo an old look to go with the setting. I just love this image he got. Then the image of Shari is a photo I took during the formal photos. Isn’t she just a beautiful bride, at an amazing location! We promise more photos from recent weddings soon.
