Welcome to Our Blog.

The Blog is a place we like to share some of our recent photo sessions, talk about the amazing people we get to work with, and let you in on a little bit of our crazy lives. We are a wife and husband team, who love our job and love working together. That's a photo of us on the right we took during a snow storm in Central Park. Leave it to us to visit New York during one of the worst snow storms in 60 years! Of course it did make for a great photo. We hope you stick around to enjoy some of our work and get to know us. We promise to share some of our crazy adventures. If you feel like it be sure to show us some love by leaving us Blog comments, they always make us feel good. Thank you for visiting! ~Brandy & Justin

Newborn Photos of Natalee ~ McCloud Photography

Yesterday we braved the winter weather and made it over to Sean and Lindsey's home for Natalee's newborn session. She was absolutely perfect. The session allowed us to photograph some of Sean and Lindsey's most cherished treasures. We were able to get some wonderful photos of Natalee with their black labs. We had been hoping to include the dogs in some of their photos for awhile now. There might be a debate to who is stealing the show. Is it Shelly or Natalee? (in photo 4) And of course, Jackie wanted to show her maternal instincts as well. Too cute!

Icy Winter Photos ~ McCloud Photography

Like most of Oregon, this morning we woke up to some crazy weather. We just had to grab our camera and take some abstract photos of things around our yard. Hope everyone is staying warm and safe during this winter weather.

Tom & Tracy's Wedding at Champoeg State Park - St. Paul, Oregon ~ McCloud Photography

Here are some photos of a beautiful wedding that we didn’t get the chance to get up this summer. Tom and Tracy were married at Champoeg State Park in St. Paul, Oregon. If you have never been, I highly recommend dropping in on a summer day. This happy couple was great to work with and had a lot of fun shots. As you can tell, Tom’s boat was a big part of their lives. His boat in the end became their getaway vehicle. It was truly unique.

Tom and Tracy, best wishes in your journey upstream.

Thought for the day! ~ McCloud Photography

One of my favorite quotes popped into my head today. Thought I would share.

"You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself, 'I have lived through this horror. I can take the next thing that comes along.' You must do the thing you think you cannot do."

~ Eleanor Roosevelt

Seth & Stephanie’s Wedding at Monmouth Christian Church - Monmouth, Oregon ~ McCloud Photography

We had a great time with Seth and Stephanie at their wedding right here in Monmouth, Oregon. They had a beautiful ceremony where the pastor was able to emphasize on their faith and love. As you can tell from the photos, they are a fun couple who love to play around.

We photographed Seth’s sister, Andrea’s wedding in 2006….the same day as our 1 year wedding anniversary. Then we had the chance to meet Stephanie at Andrea’s birthday prom about a year ago. We both thought then that it wouldn’t be too long before they would be planning a wedding.

We had so much fun shooting Andrea’s events that we were delighted when we got the opportunity to shoot Seth and Stephanie’s wedding.

Enjoy your honeymoon and we hope you bring back big winnings.

Congratulations and see you guys soon!

Welcome to the world Baby Natalee ~ McCloud Photography

On Monday we had the opportunity to meet the newest member of the Austin Family. Baby Natalee came into this world at 7lbs. 5oz. and 20" long. When we stopped in, she was not even a day old. WOW...talk about a precious angel. We could have held her all day as she was absolutely a perfect baby girl. Not a peep from Baby Natalee. So of course during our visit, we had to get a few photos of her. She was sooo beautiful and sweet....I think we fell in love. We can't wait to get to hold her again.

It's crazy how life happens. You might recognize these guys as we have done multple sessions with the Austins. We began this relationship back when Lindsey booked us at the Salem Bridal Show in the Fall of 2006. Since that day, we haven't been able to get enough of them. What was a truly awesome wedding has turned into an incredible friendship.

Well, stay tuned as you will be seeing more of Baby Natalee Austin.

Congratulations Sean & Lindsey ~ We love you guys!

Family and Children Portrait Session in our Studio - Monmouth, Oregon ~ McCloud Photography

Here are some photos of a holiday photo session we recently did in our studio. This family was wonderful to photograph. As you can see, the two children were so adorable. You just have to love their beautiful big eyes. And with just the small thought of strawberry ice cream when they were finished with their photos, these two made the perfect models. Don't we all wish life was as simple as a bowl of our favorite ice cream?

There is still time if you are interested in last minute holiday photos. Feel free to contact us and we will get you those photos for your friends and families Christmas gifts.
